The productivity of important medicinal species of plants in the plant communities of the pine and birch forests of the association Bupleuro longifolii-Pinetum sylvestris, dominating in the central part of the South Urals, as well as in the felled areas have been analyzed. At the initial stage of reafforestation (1-3 years) in the communities subassociation Ch.a.-Dc epilobietosum montanae the productivity of medicinal species Bupleurum longifolium compared to the original forest type is significantly reduced. In contrast to this, the productivity of such species as Chamaenerion angustifolium, Origanum vulgare, Hypericum elegans and H. perforatum is increased. The productivity of appeared medicinal species Artemisia absinthium, Linaria vulgaris and Tussilago farfara is relatively small in comparing with the productivity of these species in ruderal habitats. In the next stage of reafforestation in contrast to the previous stage (subassociation Ch.a.-Dc aceretosum platanoidis and Ch.a.-Dc populetosum tremulae ) the productivity of Chamaenerion angustifolium, Hypericum perforatum, Origanum vulgare, Valeriana wolgensis is increased. It found that felled areas are the most promising places of the stocking up of such species as Chamaenerion angustifolium, Origanum vulgare and Primula macrocalyx.
