Productivity of spring turnip rape at different seed sowing rates

Бесплатный доступ

As our research showed, spring turnip rape had low field emergence (52-60%) and utilization ratio of seeds at yield formation (0.31-0.42) independently on seed sowing rates in conditions of Western Siberia. In breeding and seed growing, it is necessary to count a high degree of yield dependence between seed yield per a plant from its above-ground part, pods amount per a plant and on central cyst. The rate sowing 1.5-2.0 mln seeds per ha can be used on seed growing plots and for accelerated repro-duction of varieties. The seed productivity is increased (from 1.98 to 2.56 t ha-1) at sowing rate 1.5-2.5 mln seeds per ha and changed slowly at sowing rate 2.5-3.0 mln seeds per ha.
