Some results of designing of waterworks and sewerage systems to be used under severe climatic conditions of High North on the example of a residential area in the town of Labytnangi. Designing, construction and exploitation of waterworks and sewerage systems in High North regions have their peculiarities in comparison with the similar systems in different climatic zones. Construction of engineering works and water purification stations in High North regions is developed worse than industrial and residential construction. In the project design suggested operation experience, modern construction techniques, technologies and factors that determine peculiar requirements to configuration and operation of waterworks and sewerage systems in High North regions are taken into account. The use of both traditional heat insulation and heat tracer pipeline laying has been recommended for water transportation. Drinking and household water supply pipes of the residential houses due to the project should be connected to water supply network within thermal chambers with inputs in every block section. Inside the heating units installation of water metering units as well as water purification and disinfection units is provided. The outdoor sewerage system due to the project should be constructed of steel weldless hot-deformed tubes having inner polymeric coating with poly-urethane foam heat insulation, heating cable and polyethylene protective covering. Heating and water supply systems discharging due to the project should be done with the use of drains installed in the control and water meter units room. Sewage will be discharged into a projected sewage well and then into a sewerage system and ultimately into a waste-water treatment unit. Engineering solutions suggested in the article comply with ecological, sanitary and hygienic, fire preventing and other standards which are in force on the territory of the Russian Federation.
