This article discusses the use of projective drawing during the psychological and psychotherapeutic work with children. Today, there are various classifications of projective methods, in particular "drawing tests" used in the context of a family. The use of drawing techniques (projective techniques) in the study of a child personality is more widespread abroad. In our country, only in recent years they have begun to concentrate on drawing as a means of learning the personality structure. Also, historically, the use of the "Family Drawing" methodology has been associated with the general development of "projective psychology". As indicated, the earliest mention in the literature about the use of "Family Drawing" belongs to W. Hjuls (Hulse W., 1951). A special place in working with children at the present stage of development of projective drawing undoubtedly belongs to A. I. Kopytin, L. D. Lebedeva, etc. Analyzing different approaches and methods in projective drawing, the author offers his own projective methodology "Drawing a family with umbrellas".
