Project approaches in cultural geography: problem statement

The paper deals with the subjective aspects of interaction of cultural geography and psychology in the study of space and cultural landscape. Assimilation of psychoanalytic methodology is considered as a condition of the correct interpretation of personal meanings of the geographical space. The author outlines the most urgent issues, where project approaches may be the most efficient. Since the cultural geography is a synthesizing area covering subjective and objective aspects of geo-cultural processes, it is necessary to extend its theoretical and methodological framework and interdisciplinary research.
