Design activity as development tool of productive thinking of pupils

In article the content of the concepts “thinking”, “productive thinking”, “design technology” is considered. Features of productive thinking, as process and activity reveal. The assumption that the design activity, being characterized purposeful process and result, is an effective remedy of development of productive thinking of the school student is made. Contradictions are designated between: objective need of society for socially active competent graduate of school focused on decision-making on the basis of productive thinking, and insufficient frontage of an education system to the matter; need of scientific justification of development of productive thinking of the school student and insufficiently effective application of innovative forms, methods and means of the educational environment; available pedagogical potential of projects in educational activity and verbal methods of the organization of educational activity prevailing still at the modern school, complicating developments of productive thinking of school students; the requirement of educational practice in scientific and methodical ensuring studied process and an insufficient readiness of theoretical and methodical bases of design activity as development tools of productive thinking of school students in pedagogical science. Relevance is proved and the pedagogical conditions providing realization of structurally functional model of development of productive thinking of pupils with means of design activity at modern school are given.
