Project activity of a choreographer student as one of the methodological techniques for forming professional competencies

The article presents the experience of organizing project practice for students choreographers of the “Choreographic Art” training direction and the use of technology as a methodological method for developing their professional competencies. The study was based on system analysis, the method of observation and survey (questionnaire). Two directions of pedagogical conditions are formulated: educational creative and educational research, which determine the basis of the technology of students’ project practice. A methodology for implementing these pedagogical conditions in the curriculum of choreographer students has been determined, the achievement of which is the development of a project in the field of creative industries. The significance of project activities for improving and optimizing the educational process, focused on competitive professional education in the conditions of modernization of higher education, is substantiated. Four stages of implementation of project practice are described, the main components of each stage, the solution of which will allow the team to effectively and consistently organize the work on the project. An analysis of the use of this technology and the stages of project activities in the educational process of Omsk State University students was carried out, which showed the effectiveness of team work on the project. The main positions in the team’s work are specified, the functions and roles of each participant are defined. An assessment was made of readiness to implement the project outside the educational institution. The results presented in the article show the dynamics of students’ mastery of readiness for teamwork and the need for project activities at a university for the development of creative thinking and self regulation, for rapid adaptation in future independent work situations.
