The article examines the experience of the History and Public Relations Department of Kazan National Research Technical University named after A.N. Tupolev in implementing of the project activity approach to teaching history and vocational subjects to students majoring in advertising and public relations. The authors emphasize the need to apply the project technologies in higher school students' training. Various active forms of teaching are described.
