Project management as a basis for changes in management in social and economic systems

The article shows the relevance of applying project management to run the organizations. It is determined that project management is aimed at increasing group integration and staff involvement to achieve the overall development goals of the organization. It is revealed that interconnected readiness for technological, economic and social innovations, the ability to effectively adapt and act in a rapidly changing environment come first in organizations. The history of the development of project management methodology at enterprises begins in the 1930s, associated with the development of special methods for coordinating the engineering of large projects. The author gives a list of the main documents and standards in the field of project management systems, as well as the main project management systems. The practice of project management at the state level in Russia and abroad including the creation of project offices is disclosed. An example of the implementation of a project management system in an organization is studied. It is shown that increasing productivity through the use of project management is the basis of the strategy of modernization and building an innovative economy. It is proposed in project offices, when implementing large projects, it is necessary to form four areas of responsibility: investment management, innovation management, information management, implementation policy management.
