Professional training of technical university masters in the conditions of educational cluster

Problem and purpose. At present, specialists with new professional and meta-subject competencies, a high level of readiness for distributed-collective activity, high culture of scientific, technical and psychologicalpedagogical communication are required. The purpose of the work is to substantiate the feasibility of creating engineering education clusters to improve the quality of master,s training in technical universities in conditions of e-learning, interuniversity integration, partnership in the sphere of science, education and production. The research methodology consists of analysis and generalization of research works of foreign and domestic scientists devoted to the study of models of educational clusters, cooperative learning, and personal-centered learning. Educational cluster allows eliminating the deficiencies of modern education by cooperating material and intellectual resources for the implementation of new models of effective training of engineering personnel. The leading strategy of an engineering educational cluster is student-centered learning. To create the necessary conditions for its implementation, the cooperation of a technical university with a pedagogical university is justified, as well as the design of a special educational and production environment, as close to real production and technological conditions as possible on the basis of social partnership with production structures and interuniversity cooperation. Results. At the Department of Automatic Control Systems of the Siberian State University of Science and Technology, the proposed model of master,s training has been launched. A small experience of its approbation showed a significant positive dynamics in the effectiveness of the new innovative educational process. Conclusion. The proposed approach in the organization of a new master,s training in an engineering educational cluster provides an effective mechanism for realizing the principles of student-centered learning, increasing the motivation and professionally oriented nature of their education.
