Professional self-determination of youth in the context of modern challenges in Russia

Today, one of the main components of personal self-determination in youth is professional self-determination, the main component of which is uncertainty about one's profession. This is due to the fact that young people choose not only their future profession, but also their vision of the future. This article indicates that the result of professional self-determination is not only the concretization of professional choice, but also the formation of a value-semantic sphere of personality. As a result, an analysis was carried out showing that professional certainty and uncertainty are closely related to the value orientations of the subjects. As a result of the study, it was revealed that a clear understanding of professional plans, the perception of profession as a means of self-realization or vocation, as well as orientation towards status have their own specific value correlations. These relationships emphasize the importance of value orientations in the process of professional self-determination and show that values play an important role in shaping professional identity and goals.
