Professional standards: the history of emergence in Russia, their value and development prospects

The article describes the history of the birth and development of the idea of introducing professional standards in Russia to identify specific qualification requirements for staff. The author noted the difficulties that impede the implementation of this idea. The main purpose of the development and implementation of professional standards is to standardize and unify the requirements for the level of professional training, work experience and the results of professional activities of staff.
