Professor I. P. Mityuk and mathematical education in Kuban

An attempt is made in the article to analyze the personality traits and psychological traits of the well-known Kuban mathematician I.P. Mityuk, those traits and features of the nature of this outstanding scientist and man who contributed to the formation of the Kuban mathematical school on the theory of functions, as well as the spread of its fruitful influence on domestic and world mathematics in general. To these features, we refer psychological stability, which includes such personality traits as purposefulness, poise, stability and resilience. These are the qualities of Professor I.P. Mityuk was defined as a bright personality, a sign in the 70's and 90's for Kuban State University. Under his leadership, the new university quickly established a good scientific base for natural science faculties, opened scientific and educational laboratories at the biological, physical and chemical faculties, the subject of his interests were humanitarian faculties and departments, the scientific profile of the university was determined, the university began to prepare its own scientific personnel in many areas.
