The article examines the preventive activities of the district police officer as a legal and psychological scientific problem. In the course of the research it is specified that the comprehensive science-based advancement of the district police officer’s preventive activities necessarily presupposes a clear definition of the methodological approaches to the determination of the preventive measures.
