Prevention of asocial manifestations in the student environment: the experience of the library of a professional educational organization

The article reveals the issue of work to prevent and overcome asocial phenomena and orientation of students towards moral values of the Magnitogorsk Technological College named after V. P. Omelchenko (MTС) towards moral values. Over the years of the college’s existence, considerable experience has been accumulated in the library’s preventive activities, which can keep some students from getting into asocial companies, committing crimes, and using alcohol and drugs. Prevention of asocial manifestations among students of the Magnitogorsk Technological College is based on an annual survey and consists in such areas as attraction to libraries, familiarization with books and reading, promotion of a healthy lifestyle, education of legal and patriotic culture, creation of conditions for harmonizing spiritual and moral health through the organization film club and media club.
