A complete balanced feeding is needed to maximize turkey productivity. Particular attention should be paid to the content of vitamins in the diet, most of which are essential substances. The aim of the work was to analyze the possibility of preventing hypovitaminosis in 6-7-week-old turkey poultry by introducing the drug "ALFAVIT AD3E" into the diet. Different doses of the drug were given to three groups of birds. The first group received the full recommended (100%) dose of the drug, the second - only 50% of the dose, and the drug was not present in the diet of birds of the third group. Control weighings and clinical examination of birds were performed daily. Birds were individually bled for analysis on the 1st and 7th days of the experiment. The content of vitamins A and E, phosphorus and calcium was analyzed in blood serum. The frequency of micronuclei and nuclear anomalies was determined in red blood cells. The results of the study showed that with a deficiency of vitamins A, D3, and E in the body of birds, growth in live weight of birds slows down, morphophysiological disorders occur, and the content of vitamin A in the blood serum decreases by 41.5%, vitamin E - by 55.0% phosphorus - by 64.0%, calcium - by 34.0%. When birds received a reduction of vitamins doses, the frequency of micronuclei in turkey red blood cells increased from 0.87±0.11‰ to 1.05±0.12‰ and 2.03±0.17‰ in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd groups, respectively. The individual frequencies of other nuclear anomalies varied similarly, but these changes were statistically unreliable. However, analysis of the total frequencies of all anomalies showed the presence of statistically significant differences between the 1st and 3rd groups of birds (P£0.05). Based on the results obtained, it was concluded that a lack of vitamins A, D3 and E leads to significant morphophysiological anomalies, a slowdown in growth and development, and also to increased instability of the somatic cells genome in birds. For the prevention of hypovitaminosis in turkeys, the multivitamin preparation «ALFAVIT AD3E» may be recommended.
