Prevention of refusals from newborn children

The article discusses modern practices and technologies for the prevention of refusals from newborn children in Russia. One of the priorities in the social policy of the Russian Federation is the prevention of social orphanhood, in which the main goal is the protection and realization of the rights of a child to be brought up in a blood family. The technologies under consideration for the prevention of refusals from newborns are areas of work for the identification and rehabilitation of families of the "risk group". The significant role of the activities of social services aimed at preventing refusals from newborns has been revealed. The role of social work in the prevention of rejection of newborn children as a factor of social stability and well-being is determined. The reasons why mothers refuse newborns are revealed: social disadvantage, desocialization of women, financial problems, lack of support from the woman's relatives, as well as unwanted pregnancy. Special groups of refuseniks are immigrants and underage mothers.
