Prevention of pathologies of the postpartum period and realization of reproductive qualities of heifers with immunotropic drugs

By influencing the body of heifers, in order to increase the activity of non-specific resistance factors, it is possible to improve their reproductive health, reproductive qualities and milk productivity. Promising in this situation are immunotropic drugs of the Prevention and Corimvit series, developed by employees of the Chuvash State Medical University. The purpose of this work was to evaluate the effectiveness of the use of these immunotropic drugs for the prevention of pathologies of the postpartum period and the realization of reproductive qualities of heifers. For the experiment, 40 heads of repair young animals (heifers) were selected according to the principle of pairs of analogues and 4 groups were formed (control, 1st, 2nd and 3rd experimental groups) of 10 animals each, taking into account the breed, live weight, age and productivity of the mother cows. The feeding and maintenance conditions were of the same type. The heifers of the 1st experimental group were injected intramuscularly with the immunotropic drug Prevention-N-E at a dose of 10.0 ml per head three times on the 60th, 75th and 90th days of pregnancy, the animals of the 2nd experimental group were injected with the immunotropic drug Corimvit-R at the same time and in the same dose, and 3rd experienced – Corimvit-D. Immunotropic drugs were not used in cows of the control group. It was found that triple intramuscular injection of immunotropic drugs Prevention-N, Corimvit-R, and Corimvit-D to repair young on the 60th, 75th and 90th days of pregnancy, due to activation of cellular and humoral factors of nonspecific resistance of the body, reduce the incidence of obstetric and gynecological diseases, as a result of which their reproductive qualities are improving. Cows of the experimental groups were diagnosed with fewer cases of afterbirth retention, uterine subinvolution, endometritis, ovarian pathologies and mastitis.
