This article is devoted to the actual topic of vocational guidance, which is considered as a technology of social work in secondary general education institutions. Currently, much attention is paid to the creation of favorable conditions for the socio-professional self-determination of young peopleTherefore, there is a need to improve the system of secondary vocational education by introducing the methods of work of teachers, methods and methods of social work into the arsenal.In this regard, it is important to understand that the correct career guidance work in the secondary educational institution takes on special significance, since it can protect the entrant from falling into a difficult life situation related to the wrong choice of the future profession.
