The vocational guidance in the Yamal-Nenets autonomous region: the present state in the assessments of its subjects

The paper presents the results of a sociological study aimed at identifying the characteristics of vocational guidance work implementation, interaction of vocational guidance subjects in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Region. On the performed analysis, it is concluded that the main subjects of vocational guidance work are school, family and social partners (regional vocational education system and employers). The results of the sociological study reflect the fact that today the activities of all subjects of vocational guidance in the region are uncoordinated. Family and employers are practically excluded from the system of vocational guidance interactions with the result that employers encounter substantial difficulty in implementation of a personnel policy. The lack of interaction between the regional vocational education system and employers leads to the situation when universities prepare an excessive number of specialists who are not in demand. The author notes the need to improve coordination between school, family, regional vocational education system and employers.
