Prognostic role of determination of neopterin in new coronavirus infection

The literature review is devoted to the study of the concentration of neopterin in blood serum and other biological media in patients with a new coronavirus infection, depending on the severity of the course and outcome of the disease. The authors concluded that determining the concentration of neopterin in a new coronavirus infection can act as a reliable, stable tool for assessing the severity of the inflammatory response from the point of view of diagnosing and predicting the course of this disease.
