Mortality prediction for dialysis-dependent acute renal injury after cardiac surgery

Бесплатный доступ

The choice of modality of renal replacement therapy (RRT) for acute renal injury has been the subject of debate since the appearance of this technique in intensive care. These discussions are based on practical and economic concerns. In cardiac surgery, this choice relies on common scales, which, to a varying degree, use the parameters that are unsuitable for this category of patients. An analysis of significant risk factors and illness severity scores for dialysis-dependent ARF in 300 patients after cardiac surgery under CPB is carried out. A prediction model of fatal outcomes for this category of patients is developed on the basis of the obtained data resulting in a numerical score, which offers a safe choice of intermittent RRT modality after cardiac surgery under CPB.
