Forecasting the consumption of non-traditional and renewable energy sources in the energy complex of the Russian Federation

One of the most significant trends at the current stage of scientific and technological development is the reduction of the ecological footprint because of industrial activities. One of the relevant solutions within the framework of this task is the development of non-traditional and renewable energy sources. The main purpose of the presented article is to perform an analysis regarding the current state and projected values of consumption of environmentally friendly energy sources in the energy complex of the Russian Federation. Because of the work, the relevance and necessity of developing non-traditional and renewable energy sources substantiated, the question of the need for a comprehensive transition to new energy sources raised, and the results of the study related to forecasting the distribution of energy consumption by their types are presented.
