Forecasting of development of regional social and economic complex under conditions of economic instability

Currently, the development of strategy and forecast of the country and its subjects is carried out under the conditions of economic instability. Economic instability is characterized by ongoing geopolitical crisis, continual international sanctions against companies, banks and individual sectors of the economy, increased restrictions on international capital markets, as well as low prices for export commodities. These factors contribute to a slowdown in economic growth, a decline in industrial production, falling indicators of wholesale and retail trade, reduce capital investment. In the face of economic instability, special attention is paid to forecasting and formulated on the basis of forecast development strategy of the whole country and its regions. Scientifically, more trustworthy and reliable forecasts can be developed, taking into account the cyclical nature of economic development and using the theory of economic cycles and crises.
