The article discusses approaches to forecasting the scientific and technological development of a rural municipality. The possibilities provided by the forecast of resource utilization are systematized. An algorithm has been developed for predicting the development of the technological potential of a municipal area. The possibility of using to predict the development of the technological potential of existing business incubators and information and consulting centers is shown.
