1193 elderly patients were examined at the preoperative stage before isolated or simultaneous surgery (SS) before to predict and prevent early postoperative esophagogastroduodenal hemorrhage (EPGDH) in surgery and urologic departments of Samara Region Clinical Hospital For War Veterans. The patients of the first experimental group (357) who suffered from prostate adenoma (PA) and had gastric or peptic ulcer in the anamnesis experienced esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGDS). The patients of the second experimental group who suffered from PA (522) experienced EGDS and had their stomach acidity checked by AGM-3 acidogastrometre. The patients of the third experimental group who suffered chronic calculous cholecystitis (CCC) (374) experienced EGDS and had their stomach acidity checked by using chromogastroscopic method. The usage of EGDS and endoscopic chrogastroscopy in the cases of CCC resulted in applying differentiated antisecretory treatment which showed a positive clinical effect - the patients didn’t suffer such complication as PEGDH.
