Бесплатный доступ

The goal of this program, conducted by the Wildlife Conservation Society on Kamchatka, is to develop scientifically-sound conservation recommendations for the brown bear population, based on the study of its biology and ecology. Diet, marking activity, and territory use via radiotracking were studied. Popula-tion estimates, based on "mark-recapture" methods, were applied to the Kamchatka population. Based on study findings, recommendations for management and use of the Kamchatka brown bear population are proposed.
