Who program «Acute myocardial infarction register»: 25-years long epidemiological study of myocardial infarction in the average urbanize city of Western Siberia

The article reveals the dynamic data, received from the studies of WHO program Acute Myocardial Infarction Register taking place since 1984 up to 2008, about the level of disease, death rate and lethality among inhabitants of Tomsk elder than 20 years of age. Agesex and other peculiarities of myocardial infarction epidemiology in the city are reflected in the article. It is shown that in the period from 2005 to 2008 the level of disease and death rate of Tomsk population from a myocardial infarction has statisticallyvalidly decreased owing to primary cases of disease whereas lethality rate remained almost invariable. Authors quote the reasons which, according to their opinion, promote the decrease in the morbidity rate and denote the urgency of a problem like stagebystage, versatile rehabilitation of the patients who have suffered a myocardial infarction, as on stationary, sanatory, and on outpatient stages.
