The novel by V. Narezhny "Aristion" in the light of the Russian novel genesis

In this article the author presents her vision of one of the early novels of the Russian writer Vasily Narezhny "Aristion" (the end of the XVIII - the beginning of the XIX century). It was written in 1822. The novel was created in accordance with the genre peculiarities of the West-European instructive novel. The article concentrates on the influence of this kind of literature on the life of contemporary Russian society and defines the place of the novel "Aristion" in Russian prose of that time.
