6-methyluracil derivatives: synthesis and acid-basic properties in aqueous solutions

The conditions for chromatographic analysis of the products of alkylation of 6-methyluracil with dimethyl sulfate in aqueous alkaline solutions by HPLC are selected. We used a column with a C18 phase, an eluent of the composition water: acetonitrile = 90:10, and an analytical wavelength of 265 nm. The products were isolated by semi-preparative HPLC and identified on the basis of 1H, 13C, 15N NMR spectroscopy.
