Injury rates and incidence of disease as a global problem: ways of dynamic reduction and elimination

In the article it is provided brief information about the history of labor protection, its origins, starting from the era of salt production, the work of domestic and foreign scientists in various fields of science, technology and production, who made a significant contribution to ensuring safety and harmlessness by appropriate time-based ways to prevent injuries, accidents and di-seases. Brief information is provided on the current state of problems with working conditions, injuries and occupational diseases in the countries of the world and in our country, as well as on the losses of the international community for these reasons. Ge-neralized data on the number of people injured and dying in the world as a result of injuries, diseases and accidents confirms the need for effective methods and means of prevention. The example of 2019 shows the main regulatory legal acts adopted in the country that provide partial prevention of industrial injuries, accidents and diseases and are a platform for providing organizatio-nal, technical and other preventive measures by economic entities and their corresponding services, as well as by controlling and Supervisory authorities. It is noted that for a radical solution to the problem of ensuring zero indicators for industrial injuries and diseases, a set of labor protection measures is necessary. In the article it is presented the nomenclature of such a complex based on innovative research of the labor protection scientific and pedagogical school of St. Petersburg State Agrarian University. The main provisions of the novelty of the proposed solutions are protected by hundreds of patents for inventions, approved by five decisions of the Scientific and Technical Councils of the Ministry of Agriculture and recommended for wide implementation. The position on zero indicators of occupational injuries and diseases is supported by the ILO and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection.
