The article considers some theoretical and practical issues of proce-dural actions carried out at the stage of initiation of criminal proceedings in the course of preliminary verification of the report of the crime for the purpose of establishment of sufficient data indicating the signs of the crime. The author substantiates the proposals to improve the criminal procedure legislation and the proceedings of procedural actions.
