"Investigative inspection" conduct: some procedural and law enforcement aspects

The purpose of the study is to consider a number of aspects related to the legal regulation of inspection conduct as an investigative action, as well as the peculiarities of the implementation of the relevant criminal procedural norms in the investigation of certain categories of criminal cases, in particular, on the embezzlement of livestock. The subject of research is the norms of Russian criminal procedural law that regulate the issues of the concept, essence and procedure for conducting an inspection as an investigative action. Research methods are general scientific (analysis, synthesis, deduction, etc.) and specific scientific (comparative legal, historical legal, etc.). An analysis of the current legislation was given and it was concluded that the main collection of information about a committed crime occurs through conducting inspection. It is noted that the investigative examination is the most important investigative action, the results of which are reflected in the examination protocols, which subsequently serve as evidence in criminal cases. The features of the legislative regulation of the inspection conduct as an investigative action, as well as law enforcement activities for the implementation of criminal procedural norms, securing the basis and procedure for its implementation in practice, in particular in criminal proceedings on cattle theft, are considered. As one of the initial investigative actions at the stage of investigation of a criminal case, as well as at the stage of verification of a crime report, examination is of great importance for the production of a specific criminal case. Therefore, its detailed regulation is very important. It is also important to take into account the practice of law enforcement in relation to specific criminal cases, for example, related to theft of livestock. The quality of the inspection during the investigation of a criminal case will be important not only for the further course of the investigation of crimes, but also for the administration of justice at the stage of the trial, when the sentence is passed.
