The attributes of collectivism and individualism in academic environment

The article examines a number of researches devoted to the study of attributes of collectivism and individualism and their manifestation in various spheres of society. The results of these scientific works are used to conduct a poll among the students. A qualitative and quantitative analysis of the students’ answers allows to discern specifics of individualism and collectivism in academic environment and to explain the difficulties which some students experience during academic mobility programs.
