Manifestations of terrorism (case study of the north Caucasus region)

The article deals with the problem of the extremist sentiments spread among the population of the North Caucasus region, in particular, the young people. The tendency of extremism “youthification” is discussed. It is stated that in addition to psychological shock experienced by the inhabitants of the region, the terrorist attacks also cause extensive damage to the tourism industry, which is the main source of income for the local population (for instance, the Elbrus region in Kabardino-Balkaria).
