Prosecutor's supervision over preliminary investigation: problems and development perspectives

The article is devoted to the change of the prosecutor's status in the Russian criminal procedure. In author's opinion it indicates the instability of the Russian criminal and procedural legislation, the lack of clear and unambiguous concept about the prosecutor's role and his position in ensuring citizens' rights and legal interests in the pre-trial proceeding. The possible changes in the list of prosecutor's powers at the stage of preliminary investigation are proposed.
