Intermediate performance results and prospects of future development of industrial special economic zones of Russia in terms of accession to the WTO

This research examines the performance of the Russian industrial Special Economic Zones (SEZ) after the accession to the World Trade Organization. The article uses the retrospective analysis of implementing the SEZ and full comparative analysis of the efficiency of industrial SEZ. The author infers that this particular type of SEZ is the most prospective in the short-term development conditions of Russia. Besides, the author gives a detailed analysis of how the accession to the WTO influences the special conditions of the Special Economic Zones mechanism.
