Industrial development of the Vologda oblast: stagnation or slow growth?

The article analyses major indicators of the region’s industrial development in historical perspective. At present, the growth rate of the regional industry has been slowing down. Production dynamics, observed in 2010, was purely remedial and did not create prerequisites for further improvement of the situation following the recovery of pre-crisis indicators. The article also identifies “hot spots” of the industrial complex that hinder its development.
