On the basis of literature and archival data, the activities of industrial enterprises of the Surkhandarya region during the Second World War are covered. a worthy contribution of the population of the region to the war. One of the main tasks of the reconstruction of the national economy was the transfer of the entire industry to a military footing. It was necessary to relocate the equipment and other material assets of the plants and factories of the front from the front-line areas. They transported skilled workers and specialists to the eastern regions of the country. The evacuated enterprises were immediately put into operation. During the war, about 100 industrial enterprises were evacuated to Uzbekistan, 10 of them were relocated to Surkhandarya. Pavlograd, Chertkovsky, Prikolotensky plants were located in the Denau region, and Volokopolsky, Chernyansky, Staroskolsky plants and factories were located in the city of Termez. By the end of the war, more and more new industrial enterprises were being built in the Surkhandarya region. If in 1942 there were 42 large and 784 small enterprises in the region, then in 1943 there were 929 enterprises, of which 43 were large industrial enterprises. By the end of the war, the number of large enterprises amounted to about 50.
