Aim. The article looks at the effectiveness of Calypso stent (Angioline Company, Russia) application in patients who received percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA). Methods. This prospective study included 150 patients who underwent PTCA in acute coronary syndrome (ACS) for the period from January to December 2015. During one-year follow-up, the following indicators were evaluated on the basis of their clinical values: target lesion insolvency (cardiac death, myocardial infarction in the target artery area, target lesion revascularization), major adverse cardiac events (death from any cause, myocardial infarction, repeat revascularization). Results. A one-year incidence rate of target lesion failure was 6.66% at cardiac death rate 1.33%, myocardial infarction in the target artery area 3.33% and target lesion revascularization 5,3%. The frequency of major adverse cardiac events was 12% with mortality amounting to 2.66%, myocardial infarction 4% and revascularization 8.66%. Conclusion. The use of Calypso stents in patients with primary PTCA is possible, the percentage of cardiovascular complications correlates with the data of clinical trials.
