Simple interlinear broomrape-resistant sunflower hybrid Arsenal OR

The hybrid Arsenal OR is the result of a breeding and genetic program to develop broomrape-resistant sunflower genotypes. It is a simple interlinear hybrid resistant to the race G of broomrape. The hybrid is heterozygous and its paternal line VK301 OR is ho-mozygous for the dominant gene Or7. Arsenal belongs to the medium-early maturity group and is character-ized by high yield, resistance to a complex of races of downy mildew and tolerance to stem blight. The period from germination to physiological maturity is 97 days, oil content of seeds – 46.8%, yield – 3.97 tons/ha. This hybrid is recommended for cultivation in regions where new virulent races of broomrape are spreading.
