Data about spatial distribution of the bottom invertebrates by way of example oligochaetes of the family Tubificidae in the water ecosystems of the European North and Volga River basin are presented. The main bulk of Tubificidae concentrates on the surface of the bottom and is fully available for benthophage fishes.
