Spatial balancing of social and economic development and regional differences in living standards in the Russian Federation

The article highlights that balanced development of the Russian territory is one of the most difficult problems to be solved in a relatively medium term. Despite the fact that problems arising from the peculiarities of territorial development of the Russian Federation, there are mechanisms and tools for efficient management of territorial space and decline in differentiation of living standards.
