Spacepe peculiarities of Russian modernisation in 16th - 19th centuries

The article is dedicated to the analysis of space peculiarities of the Russian modernizations. The affects on the dynamics and features of modernization of the country' bordering on the different civilization worlds. The necessity to fortify the defensive capacity of the country, protection from menaces served as a factor of accelerated political progress of the country compared with the economic one, an early formation of a rather powerful traditionalistic state which later on carried out modernizations, in most ways moderate, defensive. Ambiguous influence on the modernization processes of the colossal Russian territories, diversity of its natural and climatic features, resourse reserves are noted. Possibility to implement frontier modernization to the eastern regions of Russia, in particular to the Urals is proved. The research is carried out in the scope of the UrD RAS programme
