Dialogic discourse is a type of speech interaction in different communicative contexts. Dialogic discourse of everyday life is considered as the main form of communication, characterized by its casualness, dynamic nature of role-change, and the dynamism of social connections and relationships. The dialogic discourse of everyday life is multi-intentional and multi-thematic. Its intentionality has two main directions: cooperation and confrontation. Dialogic unit is characterized by the intentionality that is realized in two directions: solving communicative tasks and regulating interpersonal relations. In the framework of this research, discourse markers are subordinate elements in the structure of dialogic unit. Discourse markers function in dialogic units, which in turn are embedded in the dialogic discourse of everyday life. Discourse markers can actualize a single speech act as auxiliary pragmatic means, modifying illocutionary forces. Discourse markers are the units that structure the discourse, conveying additional shades of meaning and expressing the intentions of communicators. Discourse markers can perform both primary and auxiliary pragmatic functions, act in loose connection with each other and occupy different positions in an utterance. Due to the high frequency of some discourse markers and the relatively low frequency of others, the number of actualized functions varies. Discourse markers can be characterized in terms of structural, semantic and pragmatic potential using the functional-pragmatic approach, which allows specifying the meaning of discourse markers in correlation with other units, when one of the possible meanings of the marker is actualized under the influence of the context. Discourse markers can also express linguotolerance, linguoconflictogenicity, and linguistic economy.
