Misconduct, defaming the honor of an employee of internal affairs bodies: concept, essence, characteristics and legal enshrinement

The article examines the concept, essential features, as well as legal ways to consolidate the legal and social concept of “misconduct discrediting the honor and dignity of a police officer”. This problem has become particularly relevant in connection with the consideration of the materials of the internal audit, according to which police officers are dismissed on the specified basis. The difficulty lies in the fact that despite the consolidation of this term in the Federal law on Police, difficulties arise in its interpretation in practice, as well as the lack of an accurate definition of essential features.
