Aimed at studying the role of blood serum concentration of plasmin, alpha2-macroglobulin, alpha1- antitrypsin, circulating complexes of plasmin/ macroglobulin, fibrinogen level and fibrinolysis rate in pathogenesis of heterogenic subtypes of cerebral infarction, serum specimens of 56 cerebral infarction in the basin of middle cerebral artery and of 38 healthy persons as controls were investigated. Significantly increased levels of plasmin levels and plasmin/ macroglobulin complexes in all genetic cerebral infarction subtypes were revealed compared to controls.

Plasmin, specific complexes plasmin/macroglobulin, heterogenous subtypes of brain infarction, alpha2-macroglobuline
