Countering the crime of minors at the contemporary stage of development of Russian society

The presented research paper considers the main issues related to combating juvenile delinquency at the present stage of development of the Russian society. The analysis of statistics highlights the main reasons for committing unlawful acts; for clarity, a table on the structure of types of juvenile crime as a percentage for the period 2018-2020 is presented. Based on the legal statistics, the regions with the highest number of pre-investigated crimes are identified, their growth or decline over the past three years is shown and the dynamics presented are analysed. The author identifies the main factors that influence the growth of juvenile crime. Based on the results of the study, the author presents her own conclusion indicating measures to reduce the level of crime among the young generation.
