Contradictions of integrational policy of the European Union and the Russian Federation on the European part of the post-soviet territory (implementation of the forecasts of Zbigniew Brzezinski)

The purpose of this article is to analyze some ideas of the American researcher Zbigniew Brzezinski. Such works as «The Choice: Global Domination or Global Leadership», «Strategic Vision: America and the Crisis of Global Power» were written at the beginning of the 21 st century. Taking into account the dynamics of international relations, Zbigniew Brzezinski concludes that there is an inevitable change in the previous world line-up. There is a gradual decline as of the USA leadership position, so of the European Union stability, which is going through the institutional crisis. But there is still no clear candidate that can be able to replace the USA on the world arena.
