The texts and abstracts of the reports given on November 16, 2023, at the remote round table discussion “Archpriest Dumitru Stăniloae and Orthodox Thought in Romania”, organized by the St. Petersburg Theological Academy scientific project “Byzantine Cabinet”, dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth and 30th anniversary of the death of the outstanding Romanian theologian (16.11.1903- 05.10.1993), are published. The following topics are considered: theology of personality according to Archpriest D. Stăniloae, the initial stage of the formation of Archpriest D. Stăniloae as an Orthodox thinker in connection with his attention to the issues of “Romanianism”, the significance of the legacy of Archpriest D. Stăniloae in the field of ecclesiology, Fr. D. Stăniloae as a representative of the liturgical and Eucharistic revival of the 20th century, features of the interpretation of the Orthodox tradition in the works of Archpriest. D. Stăniloae, prospects for studying the Orthodox thought of Fr. D. Stăniloae in Russia, criticism of the philosophical views of Lucian Blaga by Fr. D. Stăniloae, publication and study of the heritage of Fr. D. Stăniloae in Greece. It is noted that Archpriest Dumitru Stăniloae is one of the most prominent and original Orthodox theologians of the 20th century, although he is still little known in Russia and his works are practically inaccessible to the domestic reader. Fr. Dumitru saw the task of his theology in revealing the relationship between dogma and the personal spirituality of man, responding to the demands of our time. His legacy is especially significant in the field of modern ecclesiology - for the most profound appeal to the trinitarian patristic thought as the foundation and prototype of the doctrine of the Church. Of great interest is the polemics of Fr. D. Stăniloae with the greatest Romanian philosopher Lucian Blaga, as well as his relationships with other famous nationally oriented thinkers of the past century.
